What are Immediate Digital Dentures?
Immediate digital dentures are dentures that are fabricated using 3D printing. Digital dentures are thinner than traditional dentures as they do not shrink as much during fabrication. The reduction in thickness is more comfortable for the patient and provides better adherence to the soft tissue. Immediate digital dentures are often recommended after a full mouth extraction procedure to provide function while the person heals. These dentures are used for six months while the gums and jawbone remodel, and then a permanent version is fabricated.
What are the Benefits of Immediate Digital Dentures?
Immediate digital dentures mean you can have dentures the same day as a tooth extraction or other surgical procedure. Additionally, immediate dentures can restore your smile right away and give you the ability to speak, chew, and smile as normal. Dr. Du Mond can also store your digital design, making it easy to replace your dentures if they become lost or damaged.
What Can I Expect From Immediate Digital Dentures?
Dr. Du Mond will assess your mouth and make an impression or scan, creating a digital model of your mouth. Using CAD/CAM technology, the lab will create your dentures and 3D print them. Upon delivery, Dr. Du Mond will check the fit and make any adjustments as needed.
The Immediate Digital Dentures Process and Beyond
Caring for your dentures is key to getting good results. Make sure to keep them clean and remove them at night, as well as avoid hard or crunchy foods. Dr. Du Mond will check them regularly to ensure a good fit and check for wear or signs of decay. Once your mouth is healed, we will rescan it for permanent dentures.

Exceeded My Expectations!
I had the best experience at DMD Dental! I went in for red light therapy and trigger point injections for my TMJ. Dr. Du Mond carefully examined my jaw, temples and back to source all of the tension related to my jaw clenching. The injections really helped! After my treatment, I relaxed in the red light therapy bed for a 10 minute session. I received so many compliments on my skin in the days following. I will definitely be back!
